The Frosty cold fog was hovering over the classroom that was going to get blest by a speece and by everyone who wanted to sing. The sky was the color of black purple pink and white that was so finally combined together that it looked like an ombre mixture. The moon was bright like a matariki night should be like the lights shimmered in the night sky,it was 2-3℃ in the great big hall hot chocolate delicious breakfast waiting for everybody.

My speech

Hi my name is Anik and I am here to speak a few words about worldwide cruelty against animals, animal rights and how crulatry should and can be stopped!

Therefore, I first will talk about

  • HOW animals are being tortured for the gains of humans
  • WHY animals should have rights and
  • HOW we could support to stop this abuse.

CRUELTIESFACTS

For eating last year humans killed

  • cows (300 millions)
  • Sheep (600 millions)
  • Pics (1.5 billions)
  • Chicken (80 billions)
  • Fish (110 million tonnes of weight)

It is not only the killing of the animal which is cruel, in a lot of cases, the animals had a horrible life to grow up

For example, they are stabled and never see the sunlight or can walk freely, or grow up with their mum and herd.

EXAMPLES

Dairy Industry

  • As humans consume milk products like milk, cheese, yogurt and so on,  cows are bred to milk a maximum amount. Therefore, they have to give birth to a calf every year, which then is taken away and killed or raised by milk powder
  • In a lot of countries cows are stabled and never see the sun, eat fresh grass or can walk freely.
  • There are other cruelties to cows such as – de-horning, electric wires over their backs,…

Egg Industry

There are about 25 billion laying chicken world wide and cruelties to laying hens occur in 85-90% of the cases.

  • Male chicken are killed straight away after heching (gas or shredder)
  • Burning off their front hook of the beak (painful, no grooming, less eating, unactive)
  • 16 weeks growing up in multiple layer barns without daylight (very stressful)
  • Week 25-39 laying time. Kept in mini cagesNo movement possible
  • Forces molting – no food for 1-2 weeks
  • Constant lightNO sleep
  • Killed after only 9 months –  petfood or rubbish

I could go on with cruelties

  • in LABS for medical or make-up tests or harvesting of animal parts/liquids
  • animals bred and killed for their FUR only, …

RIGHTS

We must know that human and mammal animals have so much in common, including emotional feelings, and feeling pain and sadness because they have a living spirit.

Animals are not put on earth to be slaves to humans or serve humans just because they are weaker.

It is morally wrong to put them to harm.

Try to think from their perspective and treat them with respect.

It is time we address cruelty against animals because it is not necessary.

SOLUTIONS

    • NO Experiments on animals
    • NO “use” of animals and products
    • NO Fun-hunting
    • NO fur-breeding
    • NO unnatural animal entertainment in zoos, circuses,…
  • Animals should ALWAYS have a good life

EVERYBODY CAN DO SOMETHINGFor example

  • only BUY eggs from chucks who have been free and could eat grass outside
  • have your own chucks, sheep, cows, goats,.. and treat them well
  • only eat organic dairy products which are usually controlled for animal welfare
  • eat less animal products (it is healthy anyway)
  • get engaged in an animal-rights organization or helping at your local SPCA

I hope you enjoyed my ideas – Thanks for listening.

WALTto measure in MM,M,and KM

This week we learnt about measurement and what the unites mean i will try to teach you something about what we learnt.

Don’t measure a tree in L.

Don’t  measure the classroom km

Don’t  measure a window in ML

Would you measure the filde in seconds? No……becaues they are all the wrong units.

we also learnt that 1 meter =100 cm= 1000mm.

1 KM=1000m

My Easter poem

The sweet chocolate smell attached to my nose, small hexagons , cavanis Turquoise Glimmering and glistening in front of my eyes. I felt rough and pokey overlapped gladwrap spiky in my hands as the crackling sound of birds chirping filled my ears as Gooey milky taste Dissolved in my mouth.
